How do I book an appointment?
If you are interested in booking an appointment, please contact us either by email: info@speechbubbles.ca or by phone: 604-539-8320, and we will contact you as soon as possible to gather more information and set up an appointment time.
What is the first individual appointment like?
In your first appointment, your therapist will conduct an informal assessment based on the information you give them. After completing these assessment activities, your therapist will usually jump right into treatment in your first session.
Also please make sure you have any reports from medical professionals or previous Speech-Language Pathologists ready. If possible, you can email them to us in advance so that your therapist has time to look over them prior to your first appointment.

If you do not see your insurance provider on this list, we can charge you directly and then give you a receipt that you may send to your benefits provider for reimbursement.
Where is your clinic?
Our clinic is at 202B-5755 Glover Road, Langley City. We are next to College Court Plaza, right across from the Langley Campus of Kwantlen Polytechnic University near the corner of Eastleigh and Glover. We recommend you come a few minutes early to make sure you can find a good parking spot. You may park in any unmarked spot or a spot marked CUSTOMER in yellow letters.
When you enter the building, you have the option of going up the stairs or using the elevator. We are on the second floor on the right side of the hall.
Do you do home visits?
We do not offer in-home appointments. Appointments can either be done via teletherapy or in-person at the clinic.
Do I need a referral?
You do not need a referral from a doctor or other health professional. If you have any reports from another therapist, please send those to info@speechbubbles.ca once you have booked your first appointment.
Are masks required?
As of April 2023, masks are optional at the clinic. You may wear a mask if you choose to do so; you may also request that our staff wear masks too. Please be mindful of health symptoms before coming to an in-person appointment. If you are unsure of your health or your child's health, you may request a temperature screening. As a reminder, you also have the option to switch to teletherapy instead of an in-person appointment if you or your child are feeling unwell.
Do I have to sign a contract?
We do not require that our clients sign a contract to agree to a certain number of appointments, only that they agree to our 24 hour cancellation policy. Appointment spots are limited, however, so it is recommended that you sign up for weekly appointments to avoid losing your spot.
Additionally, if you want to make a permanent change to your weekly appointment time, we will require at least 30 days' notice, and we cannot guarantee that your preferred appointment time will be immediately available. For more information, please see our clinic policies.
When are you closed?
We are are open all year round (including over the summer), with the exception of BC Statutory Holidays. We are closed for two weeks at the end of the year (coinciding with the school winter break), and we will also be closed if the Langley School District has a Snow Day. In the event of a Snow Day, you will be given the option of having a teletherapy appointment or rescheduling.
